Planning Your Retirement
Retirement planning involves estimating how much money you need to sustain your lifestyle after you stop working. The key factors are your current expenses, inflation rate, expected returns, and the number of years in retirement.
How We Calculate
Step 1: Inflate current expenses to retirement date
Future Monthly Expense = Current Expense Γ (1 + inflation)^years_to_retire
Step 2: Calculate corpus needed (present value of annuity for retirement period)
Corpus = FME Γ 12 Γ [(1 β (1 + post_return/12)^(βretirement_months)) / (post_return/12)]
Step 3: Calculate required monthly SIP
SIP = (Corpus β Savings_Growth) Γ r / [(1+r)^n β 1] / (1+r)
